ICT and Automation for Low Input & Reduced Traffic Agriculture in Irregular Sloped Pastures
The main focus is to implement a pilot project to increase animal production and accelerate rural socio-economic development by precision (low input & reduced traffic) fertilization of irregular sloped pasture areas by using ICT and automation. Project will create a platform that integrates and harmonizes existing software and hardware technologies into a single system for pasture management. The proposed system combines a set of data on soil and crops together with auxiliary data on topography, and lands use to delineate management zones for sustainable increase in yield at reduced input conditions. It will analyze and handle multi-source and multi-sensor information on soil and crops like geospatial data and knowledge. For these aims, aerial fertilization by helicopters will be conducted in pilot areas. The project will establish a strategic basic network to implement wider scale projects. Another target is to take attention of policymakers to rural development.
